In 2005 DSHA authorized a subcommittee to review previous DSHA position statements regarding the credentialing and use of Speech Language Pathology Assistants in Delaware and to draft a new position statement. The subcommittee has completed its task and has presented a position statement which the Executive Council has reviewed and accepted. The document is ready for DSHA member review and comment.
We invite all DSHA members to attend one of two meetings to review and discuss the document. Your input is important! SLPA implementation, if it occurs, will impact all practicing SLPs across work settings. Copies will be available only at these meetings and will be turned in at the end of each meeting.
